Story boarding of lesson content in order to carry out human resource management course in e-learning environment

ABSTRACT In 21st century's globalizing business life, the most important factor in rivalry contention is human, whose value is considered with his knowledge. In this information era, it can be foreseen that an organization seeking for success needs a labour force who can reach information, update his knowledge continuously, use technology effectively,and who is well educated. Methods of getting information are diversified and matured through the development in technology. Improving the effectiveness of both organizational and instructional education, educators try to find out the best mixture by using different methods. The lack of socialization and interaction are restirictions of distance education and e4earning. Blended learning model aims to remove these restrictions. The outcomes of the b4earning practices in Turkey and abroad are affirmative. In this study, storyboard has been designed for the transmission of the "Human Resource Management" course for under graduate degree, which has become a must for business administration; to the web based computer assisted instructional design. This thesis has 3 sections. The concepts of distance education, e-learning, b-learning, module and storyboard are explained in the first section. In the second section, the importance and historical progress of HRM are investigated and each HRM function are explained briefly. In the third section, web based instructional design phases of HRM course are described and storyboard is presented. In the conclusion and proposals section, the experiences which are acquired in this study, are given for the educators who search for a more effective HRM course, and who plan to design their own blended learning projects. In the last part of this study, attachments about the theoretical part and the storyboard of HRM course are given. VI
