Training and development activities in human resources management: A company review

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine training and development activities in human resources management and to provide an example of how these activities are implemented in today's conditions. For this purpose, indepth interview method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used, and the data was framed and evaluated with descriptive analysis. In the first part of the study, human resources management is conceptually discussed and its basic functions are examined. In the second part, training and development activities, which are one of the basic functions of human resources management, are discussed together with the implementation methods. In the last section, a firm review was made as an example of the implementation of training and development activities. In the research,a large scale organization's, whose activity area is all Turkey and its production and management centers are located in Izmit, Istanbul and Aksaray, training and development practices are fully discussed. The findings of the research were evaluated. The data obtained from the research findings; enlightens the future of education and development activities, new trends and the transformations of the methods used under the influence of technology. It is an example of training methods and implementation processes that can be used in allvii organizations regardless of size. In addition, the methods used for monitoring the development of human resources after these activities and evaluating the trainings are also mentioned.
