Architecture is defined by human requirements, such as shelter, comfort, and place. As humans, however, we have other needs, the need to create, construct, play, survive, inhabit and communicate. In order to address the question of how these ideas intersect, the relationship between human and architectural space will serve as fuel. This thesis explores the contemporary architecture and new development in terms of human and space and to what extent are these principles helpful and needed in Pakistan. Human and architectural space relation is mostly based on function, scale and human dimensions and our way to design or build goes through these changes and then accordingly the architect can decide what to create by using his ability to design according to human needs. By exploring through research, the real potential of this relationship can be defined and expanded to improve the understanding between an architect and other humans who belong to other fields. In this thesis four important architectural spaces will be discussed in detail and then architects of Pakistan will be asked whether these spaces affect their contemporary architecture practice or not.
