Abstract (EN)

Due to uncomfortable workplace, one of the most common complaints of office workers is that they caught in permanent discomfort. Detailed investigations have been studied about these disorders and some reports have been prepared on the annual losses because employees are uncomfortable in companies. In order to solve the disorders caused by the office environment which is a worldwide problem, companies have made intensive studies. Within the scope of the thesis, collaborative studies with Dokuz Eylül University, department of Textile Engineering were supported by BAP Coordination Unit and Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, San-Tez program.In order to determine the values related to the mechanisms to be designed, such as measurement and working frequency, studies were carried out in the BAP project numbered 2013.KB.FEN.036.In these studies, the questionnaire was applied to academic and administrative personnel and anthropometric measurements were taken to produce the appropriate size mechanisms.In the light of the information obtained, two massage mechanisms were designed within the scope of San-Tez project 0185.STZ.2013-1. Static, fatigue and natural frequency analyzes of the mechanisms before production were made and the problems that could occur were determined before the production. Then, the produced mechanisms were mounted on the office chairs produced by the Bürosit company specially designed for the project. In addition, with integrated massage mechanism construction, which is designed in this study, the patent application has been made to the Turkish Standards Institute (Patent Application Number: 2016/12074).
