Human development is to provide a more valuable life to people by increasing their opportunition and capabilities. Human Development Index (HDI) developed by United Nations Developmet Program (UNDP) is an index aiming to measure human development by taking into account income, education and health indicators. Primarily in this study, for 187 of world countries and six country groups according to their geographical position of this 187, the human development index for 2011 was calculated using socioeconomic variables. To percentage of health, education and income?s contributions to the obtained value was calculated and expounded. Index values were appointed by the sequence number of countries and these countries were grouped varies from less developed to the developed. After that by Charnes Cooper Rhodes model (CCR), which is one of the data envelope analysing model, same data had used to find those countries? efficiency scores and expounded, according to reference countries. Effective states were listed in their own by using superefficiency approach. Morover, efficiency values were expounded for Turkey between 2000-2007. Finally, according to output-oriented CCR efficency score and human development index rates, the relationship between the sequence numbers given to countries were expounded by using Spearman's correlation coefficient.Key Words : Data envelopment analysis, Human development index
