Abstract (EN)

This thesis emphasizes that Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are autonomous vehicles used to perform various tasks and provide aerial surveillance, generating a significant amount of image data through high-resolution cameras. However, securely storing and protecting this data from unauthorized access poses a significant challenge. This thesis examines how the PCG (Permutation Congruential Generator) algorithm, a random number generator, can be used for secure storage of images captured by UAVs. PCG is an algorithm that can generate statistically random numbers, commonly used for encryption and security purposes. The use of the PCG algorithm can provide a more secure environment against unauthorized access and enhance the protection of sensitive data. The thesis addresses the NIST, chi-square, and autocorrelation tests, which are important topics in random number generation and statistical testing. These tests are widely used techniques to evaluate randomness properties and ensure the accuracy of data used in statistical analysis. The concept and significance of random number generation are explained, and detailed information is provided about the PCG algorithm, including how it works, the distribution of generated numbers, and their statistical properties. The results of experimental studies conducted on the PCG algorithm are presented. These studies involve subjecting the numbers generated by PCG to the NIST, chi-square, and autocorrelation tests, and analyzing the obtained results. This thesis explores how the PCG algorithm, a random number generator, can be utilized for the secure storage of images captured by UAVs. It also examines the performance of the algorithm in statistical tests. The results of the study reveal that the PCG algorithm performs relatively well in statistical tests, but if it is used for cryptological purposes, more comprehensive tests and analyzes should be performed.
