Abstract (EN)

Monopulse radar provides information about the angular position of the target by comparing signals received from simultaneous beams. It is called monopulse because it uses one pulse when detecting angle. Compared to conventional radar systems, monopulse radars are not affected by amplitude fluctuations to obtain angle error voltage due to single pulse used. For this reason, there are great resistance and countermeasures against traditional jamming techniques. Monopulse radars are an important threat especially for UAV's. It is necessary to use special ECM techniques against monopulse radars to jamming. Cross-eye and cross polarization angle deception techniques are the most common deception techniques against monopulse radar. However, jamming is difficult in aerodynamic applications, as the dynamics of the jamming platform change rapidly. UAV's are no exception but have the advantage of more stable platform. Although cross-eye and cross polarization are not new to air platforms, different difficulties arise in practice when applied to the UAV platform, since the skin return is different from that of a typical fighter plane. In this study, a UAV model was designed, simulated by simulating the jamming scenarios of monopulse radars using cross-eye and cross polarization jamming techniques through antennas deployed on this model.
