Integrated application geographical information system and business intelligence in local governments

Today, Business Intelligence (BI) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS )are used in a wide area and sectors. Business intelligence have been used for many years such as performance management, resource and production reporting, customer analysis. Geographic Information Systems are used to manage all spatial and associated with this spatial data in private and public sectors. In public sector, working and service producing in administrative boundaries such as especially in a city or province, local governments have worked in fields ranging from geology to residence in a building. The majority of the generated data belongs to a location while working in these areas. Through local governments, the datas belong to a location for last 10-15 years produced and managed. To participate decision support processes, dynamic and real time analysed, reported of produced of the spatial datas have could be with business intelligence solutions. Aim of this thesis to understand the gaps between BI and GIS and also to use the pure information for taking right choices. All of the data to gain this project are handled by local authorities of Management Information System (MIS) and GIS. They are collected from municipal corporation's data tha are used for local workplaces gradients such as work address, market areas & bazaar, infrastructure, on going processes of construction controls,development plan, geological-hydrogeological datas ,human resources, social assistance etc. Within this project, integrated usage BI and GIS all of the geographical and verbal datas of Uskudar Municipality could be analyzed and model to be by other local governments.
