Abstract (EN)
In the day of information era internet has characterized as a reform. It is easy to see effects of internet in all fields of the social life. It is imposibble to think a sector which does not use the posibilities created by means of internet. Borders are demolished and it is taken steps into an era in which them information. t is a fact that internet has started to take place in every part of social life. This brings some changes in our lifes and internet cafes are one of those changes. The aim of this thesis is to point out how the primary and secondary school students living in stanbul to perceive both internet and internet cafes, how to use them and to see the effects of those places on them. Internet cafes have great importance on students access of information and knowledge of technology and provide them equipments that are required for adaptation to the information era. To point out the potential power of internet cafes is one of the aims of this thesis. First of all, the studies made have been searched thoroughly in this study. Secondly, that the observations have been realized in internet cafes. Finally, a questionaire has been done with students using internet cafes to access internet.
