Thesis)Yaşar GÜNBULUTGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYOctober 2006ABSTRACTVoice Over Internet Protocol is an application of packet switching network andit is taking the place of current telecommunication systems day by day.The voice data in these VOIP applications which provides the communicationin the IP network, is converted to digital and compressed. These compresseddata are put in a packet and transmitted to the receiver . So, the communicationis achieved. There are some factors reduce communication quality. These areerror in sequence, packet loss, jitter and echo. Echo is not only a problem forVOIP systems but also a problem for most of telephone communications.In this study, some filtering techniques are examined.
