Abstract (EN)
Objective: This research is a descriptive study in order to determine women's preferences about effective and ineffective interventions being applied in accordance with evidence-based practices. Methods: The study sample included 325 women who delivered by vaginal at Manisa Merkez Efendi State Hospital between on May 1, 2014 and May 1, 2015. It was used SPSS 21.0 version for evaluating the data and descriptive analysis was used. Results: The mean age of the women in the study was 26,0 ±3,6 (18-41). Of the women, 70,2% have received education during pregnanc, only 0,9% of them participated in childbirth preparation classes during pregnancy. 71,4% of women reported that they wish to participate in the antenatal preparatorion classes. Episiotomy has been applied to 87,4% of women during childbirth. Although most of women (95,1%) stated that they did not want to episiotomy. Overall, 0,9% of the women wanted to delivery their baby with standing, 2,2% in squatting and sitting position, 42,5 % in water, 0,6% at home birth. Most of women (96,6 %) of stated that normal birth was safer. Conclusion: Women born during the birth of managing their own fearless wants confidently to give birth and live in a nice birthday experience.
