İntrauterin inseminasyon sikluslarında final oosit matürasyonunun HCG ya da HCG+ GNRH agonisti ile sağlanmasının gebelik sonuçları üzerine etkisi

Objective: Infertility is a global health problem that affects 8-10% of couples. In the treatment of infertile couple, controlled ovarian stimulation followed by intrauterine insemination procedure is one of the initial treatment steps. A standard single dose of 250 mcg recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin (r- hCG) is administered for final oocyte maturation following ovarian stimulation. In this study, it is aimed to compare the effect of 0.1 mg of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist added to r-hCG to ensure final oocyte maturation on pregnancy outcomes with the group that was administered hCG alone. Method: The files of patients who underwent intrauterine insemination after controlled ovarian stimulation with gonadotropins for unexplained infertility between April 2021 and September 2022 in our clinic were reviewed retrospectively. According to the inclusion criteria, 96 patients were included in the study. 53 patients in whom final oocyte maturation was achieved with a single agent and 43 patients with two agents were compared between and within groups according to their pregnancy outcomes. Conclusion: There was no difference between the groups in demographic data except female age, male age and total number of follicles developed. In the double trigger group, the median duration of infertility was higher in those who could not conceive (p=0.008). The pregnancy rate was similar in both groups (p: 0.315).
