Abstract (EN)
The total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), heavy metals concentrations and pH levels in the waters and in the sediments of the rivers feeding Izmir middle and inner Bay were investigated in the content of this thesis. Additionally, total solids and suspended solids concentrations in water samples are detected and settable solids concentrations and the contaminant loads discharged into the Bay from each river are determined.
