This investigation proposes to improve clayey soil with definite properties from Adana city, Turkey, by mixing with four varieties of biopolymers (Agar Gum, AG, Gum Arabic, GA, Guar Gum, GG and Xanthan Gum, XG), with different mixing ratios of (1%, 2%, and 3%) for each substance individually. Geotechnical characteristics of the clayey soil examined with and without biopolymer additives. Some laboratory testing applied such as Atterberg Limits, Compaction, and Unconfined Compression strength. The Unconfined Compression Strength samples cured for (1, 7, 14, and 21) days to recognize the impact of time on samples including biopolymer additives. This investigation revealed that (AG, GA, GG, and XG) improve the geotechnical engineering characteristics of the clayey soil used to an important degree.
