Abstract (EN)
This study aims to investigate the increase in enzyme activity due to the increase in body temperature caused by exposure to radio waves and to reduce electromagnetic pollution by the optimal and correct use of these devices by finding the effect of radio frequency emitted by wireless devices on the male hormones. Communication technologies based on radio frequency (RF) emissions provide great benefits to our daily lives. However, the rapid development of these technologies raises concerns about their potential impact on public health. In the thesis study, we investigated the effects of non-thermal RF on the body temperature of mice and related mechanisms. Changes in estrogen and testosterone levels were observed in groups exposed to radio waves. It was determined that radiation application caused degeneration in testicular tissue and structural disorder in testicular morphology, melatonin alone had a positive effect on sperm production in healthy rats without radiation application, and melatonin given together with radiation application had a partial protective effect. It was found that the average body temperature in the light phase was higher in the exposed group compared to the control group. TRPM8 gene expression was not affected by RF in trigeminal ganglia.
