Özet (EN)

The objective of this study is to investigate and examine reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) material and different RAP/virgin aggregate blending techniques that can improve the mechanical characteristics of local RAP materials to meet the specification of afnor (French Association for Standardization) for road subbase and base course characteristics. A detailed laboratory testing program was conducted to achieve these objectives. It was found that the blending of up to 30% RAP materials with local virgin sub-base and base materials improves the RAP mechanical characteristics to meet requirements for road sub-base, base materials and provides economical, environmental, and sustainable road construction alternatively technique. Keywords: Mechanical Properties, RAP, Particle size, Proctor, Atterberg, California Bearing Ratio (CBR);
