Özet (EN)

Impulse Radio Ultra-Wide-Band (IR-UWB) radar technology exhibits considerable potential for non-contact sensing applications, particularly in the detection of human vital signs, including heart rate (HR) and respiration rate (RR), as well as in the determination of an individual's location. The present study presents an experimental technique for identifying the respiration rate and location of a stationary individual. The present study outlines a methodology that entails the utilization of preprocessing techniques to enhance the efficacy of clutter reduction, followed by investigating the frequency domain of the signals. This study presents two approaches for preprocessing the raw data that is reflected by the individual. It is done in two steps: the first approach takes the raw data and applies coherent background subtraction to it, and the result of the first step is inputted into the Butterworth low-pass filter. The second approach applies coherent background subtraction followed by a Butterworth band-pass filter. The present study employs the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) as a processing technique for the purpose of ascertaining the human respiratory rate (RR) within the frequency domain. In this study, an evaluation of a proposed approach utilizing a P440 (IR-UWB) radar is presented. The results obtained from the evaluation demonstrate promising outcomes. The present study provides empirical evidence that the proposed methodology is efficacious in accurately detecting the vital signs of both stationary single individuals and multiple individuals.
