Examining of daylighting in traditional covered bazaar in Iran and Turkey

In this thesis the principles of illuminative design of traditional covered bazaars have been researched. For accessing this aim, location of bazaar and its classification in Iran and Turkey?s cities and their natural lighting methods and required illumination levels for shopping purpose have been researched. As a case study, daylight measurements of two similar traditional covered bazaars in Tabriz, located in Iran and Bursa, located in Turkey are compared. These comparisons consist of daylight measurements of corridors and stores. IESNA values as a reference are used in analyzing of these measured values. At the end of this research daylight factor and lighting homogeneity are compared and results have been taken to account.
