Textlinguistics structure of fortune books Irk Bitig and Korum Bitig

In this study, "Textlinguistics Structure of Fortune Books Irk Bitig and Korum Bitig" in the Old Uighur Turkic period has been tried to be revealed. While this textlinguistics structure was being revealed, the fortunes in these works were evaluated separately and independently. The textlinguistics structure of the Irk Bitig and Korum Bitig of fortune books was also examined and evaluated in separate chapters. These two works were examined according to the criteria of cohesion and coherence, which are among the criteria of textuality. Cohesion criterion; while it is analyzed by subheadings such as reference, conjunction, substitution, ellipsis, lexical cohesion and tense, aspect, and modality; The cohesion criterion was analyzed by dividing it into subheadings as privatization, cause and effect relationship, comparison, time and contrast connection. The criteria that the texts will be examined were specified by reclassifying them and the texts were analyzed by using these criteria. As a result of this examination, the effectiveness of the meaning in the surface and deep structure of the texts has emerged more clearly. In the last part of the study, fortune books Irk Bitig and Korum Bitig were first compared in general. Then, these two works were evaluated and compared in terms of their similarities and differences in terms of their textlinguistics structures. The titles of these similarities and differences and what semantic features they give to the texts are also discussed and stated in detail. The study was concluded by seeing that the analysis of the Irk Bitig and Körüm Bitig fortune books in terms of textlinguistics helped to reveal the important language and expression features in these two works.
