Abstract (EN)
It is not seen any research about biological activity of Iris pseudacorus in literature. Therefore, it is aimed to study antioxidant, antibacterial, DNA protective activity of extract of I. pseudacorus leaves, flowers and roots. We dried the leaves, flowers and roots of I. pseudacorus after that extracted with soxhlet divices by using hexan, dichloromethan, methanol and water. It was calculated TAS, TOS and DPPH values of the extracts. It was used microdulition method to measure antibacterial activity. Eigth standart bacteri kinds were used. pBR322 DNA plazmid was used to the activity of extracts. Agarose gel electrophorezis was used for see the plazmid DNA. When the result of antioxidant activity was evoluated. It was determined that leaves, flowers and roots of I. pseudacorus with the extract of methanol and water had strong antioxidant activity, antibacterial activity and DNA protective activity. For a result, it was seen that the extracts of I. pseudacorus have bioactive compounds.
