Özet (EN)
One of the most serious problems of the modern era is that young people do not make enough use of job opportunities. This unemployment situation affects not only a certain region, but an entire country. Especially disadvantaged groups are affected by the unemployment problem more than others. For this reason, unemployment has become a global problem. The fact that there are a large number of young people in Turkey makes the unemployment problem even more complicated. Sociology graduates (between the ages of 25 and 35) young people face a number of problems when entering the labor market and are trying to cope with these problems. Dec. Situations such as the fact that young people with sociology degrees are forced to work in low-wage jobs in order to gain education and experience, and are abandoned by employers when these jobs end, have been carefully considered in this study. In the modern era, it is seen that we are living in a period when social solidarity is decreasing, the division of labor is weakening, and conflict stands out rather than social harmony, and this situation has been examined sociologically in this study. In this context, the job finding experiences of sociology graduates of young people (December 25-35 years old) in Ankara province were examined from personal, professional and economic points of view and in-depth interviews were conducted. Qualitative research method has been preferred in this research. As a result of the evaluation of the research data, it has been determined that the practical experiences of the sociology department towards the job market are insufficient and that they are perceived as inexperienced by employers after graduation.Graduates have stated that the certificates and various documents they received outside of school do not contribute to their business life, but only fill their free time. Young people with sociology degrees, due to the inability to get jobs related to their departments, are making efforts to move to different fields that offer wider career opportunities. In this context, sociology graduates face various psychological and physical problems as a result of the inability of young people to get a job. It is also emphasized that being educated is not enough in today's conditions and that experiences are important. Finally, information about what kind of contributions the sociology department provides to graduates, how experience and experiences can be gained, has also been discussed.
