Abstract (EN)
AFAD personnel need to work intensively with people working under intense working tempo, long working hours, workload and high stress. Considering these conditions, it is thought that the working conditions sometimes exhaust the personnel mentally. The work we started with this assumption is limited to the personnel of Adıyaman, Gaziantep and Kilis Provincial Disaster and Emergency Departments who work in the regions where there is a great migration due to the Syrian humanitarian crisis. In our study, the job satisfaction, burnout and organizational silence levels of AFAD employees were measured by face to face interviews. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed by comparing with each other and the demographic characteristics of the participants. According to the results of analysis in these three cities which are similar to each other in social structure, it is determined that the levels of burnout and organizational silence levels of Adıyaman are lower than those who work in Kilis and Gaziantep. In addition, it was determined that the job satisfaction level of the female employees was lower than the satisfaction level of the male employees. In our study, it was confirmed that job satisfaction has a significant and negative effect on burnout. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational silence levels. While organizational silence is under control of job satisfaction, the organizational silence levels of AFAD employees have a positive effect on burnout levels. Finally, under the mediation of organizational silence, job satisfaction of AFAD employees has a negative impact on burnout levels.
