Problems on education in İş ve Düşünce journal

As Journals are a kind of exhibition spaces for newly produced information, they are in state to be the witnesses of the period when they are published. Like on all fields, journals that provide mirror to the society on the field of education reveal the developments which are experiences in the period when they are published as well as shedding light on the present matters. İş ve Düşünce Journal that was active between the years of 1934 and 1972 also gave a place fort he matter of education which becomes social phenomena, from time totoime in its publications. The aim of this study is to shed a light on the present problems on education by revealing the problems on education that were deiscussed in İş ve Düşünce Journal between the years of 1934 and 1972.All of the journals are obtained from National Library. As all of the publications of the journal could be obtained, no separate sample was gotten.The study was performed by using categorical evaluation technique of content analysis method. Fort his purpose, at first essays related to the education on the journal were determined and problems on education stated in these essays were put forward. Determined problems on education were subjected to the categorical evalution.Consequently, educatin- culture policy, profession of teaching, secondary educatin and higher education degrees within formal education stages, educational programs, education management, public education and educational problems on special educational fields are stated in this journal.Key Words: Problem on education, education policy, journal, formal education stages, content analysis method.
