Abstract (EN)
Today's economical crises, globalization, rapidly increasing competition, and technological developments cause many businesses to close shop and many employees become unemployed. The uncertainty in the market due to all these developments has reflected on the relationship of employee and employer, and job security became a major concern. The main purpose of the study within the scope of dissertation is to measure job security satisfaction of the employees of hotel establishments, to determine the relation of this satisfaction with organizational commitment, job satisfaction, job stress and the intention to quit, and to test hypotheses of the study in the light of these findings. Data of the study has been gathered from 477 employees of five-star hotels in Antalya/Kundu. The results of the analyses suggest that there are positive relations between employees' job security satisfaction and their organizational commitment, and negative relations between job stress and their intentions to quit. In addition, variances in terms of demographic variables have been detected in job security satisfaction, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, job stress and intentions to quit. The result of logistic regression analysis conducted in order to test the main hypothesis of the study suggests that female and single employees have much higher levels of intention to quit while married employees graduated from primary school who are committed to their organization, satisfied in terms of job security with high job satisfaction and income at the level of 0-1000 TL have low levels of intention to quit. The contribution of the study to the literature has been discussed in the light of the findings and evaluations conducted within the scope of the study, and certain suggestions have been made to shed a light upon future studies; furthermore, ways for managers in the business to use the results of the study have been explained.
