Abstract (EN)
In this study, the internal combustion engine cycles were considered as heat engine cycles and were analyzed. These cycles are Otto cycle, Diesel cycle, dual cycle, Atkinson cycle and Miller cycle. These cycles were analyzed using finite time thermodynamics. Variable specific heat values were used in the analyses. Irreversibility, friction and heat transfer were taken into account in the equations. Effects of irreversibility, friction and heat transfer on power output and cycle efficiency were investigated. Cycles were also compared with each other. Results were given in graphics. Constant specific heat value were also used in the analyses and compared with variable specific heat conditions. Results are given in graphics.
