Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of honesty and humility on employee performance have been tested with specific surveys. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of honesty and humility on the present-day employees in accordance with the ethical understanding, and to show that how these two moral features have positive or negative effects on business performance. According to the researches, the relations between honesty and humility and the work performance of the employees were determined. To obtain this data in three big cities of Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir), running a total of 385 units were administered questionnaire consisting of specific questions. Interestingly, frequently mentioned in the literature; Contrary to the idea that "virtues such as honesty and modesty affect business performance positively", the results of the survey have proved to be the negative effects of honesty and humility on business performances and organization, in addition to the change in the traditional understanding. At the same time, this study showed how changed the ethical and ethical understanding of some organizations or employee psychology have become from past to present. In contrast to many years of literature, when interpreting this study, it is recommended to take into consideration the problems that change the ethical and moral understanding of today's people.
