Occupational health and safety inspection and application examples from some countries

The study with the title of Occupational health and safety inspection and application examples from some countries has been prepared for emphasizing the importance of inspection and supervision to reduce occupational accident and to ensure occupational health and safety which is very important both in our country and in the world in terms of working life. The study consists of two main parts. In the first part of the study, the basics concepts related to occupational health and safety inspection, the types of inspection have been given. The sources of international law about occupational health and safety have been examined. In the second part of the study the occupational health and safety inspection system of our country have been examined. In this context organizations and institutions responsible for inspection and their functions' are introduced and the role of employers in occupational health and safety inspection have been examined. In addition, the right of workers in case of there is no audit and the responsibilities of employers have been given. The tasks after inspection and supervision have been among the topics discussed in this part. In the last part, the information about functioning of the labor inspection system of some countries which is member of EU has been provided and the differences between the systems of our country and the member countries have been compared.
