Abstract (EN)
Occupational accidents and occupational diseases threaten the health of all employees in the world. Health care providers are exposed to physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial hazards and risks arising from the work environment and working environment. Especially hospitals are located within the scope of very dangerous workplaces. Along with the new developments in the international arena, there has been a change in our legislation in the field of occupational health and safety. The last law no. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety was published in the Official Gazette dated 30.06.2012 and numbered 28339 and entered into force. The state, employers and employees have different but complementary tasks in occupational health and safety. In this study, the importance of health and occupational safety of health workers is emphasized and the dangers, risks and precautions to be taken by health workers are discussed. The study was prepared by literature review. However, professional knowledge, experience and observations are included in the sections of the study. Risk assessment and root cause analysis are important to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases. The priority is the elimination of the danger in the precautionary systematic. Engineering measures, administrative measures, training and personal protective equipment should be provided to employees if not possible.
