Abstract (EN)

This study focuses on job stress perceived by flight crew in the aviation industry, and aims to explain how stress affects employee performance through growth mindset and mindfulness structures. In order to achieve maximum performance and get maximum efficiency in increasingly complex working environments and airline operations where stress is inevitable, a source of motivation and providers of a positive emotional state that can minimize the unwanted effects of stress are needed. In this direction, in the study; The effects of two elements (growth mindset and mindfulness) that are thought to make a difference were examined. It was found that these two elements, analyzed as mediator variables, had a mediating role in the effect of job stress on performance and that job stress indirectly affected performance. Therefore, in order to improve performance, it is recommended to carry out studies and practices especially on the concepts of mindfulness and growth mindset, instead of directly intervening in work stress. As a result of this finding that there is a significant relationship between job stress and employee performance and these elements, it is thought that these elements can be used as a part of the organizational development strategy in the aviation sector and included in Crew Resource Management (CRM) practices.
