The experimental research of the ideal insulation material usage in heat insulation

Human population is growing all around the world and energy consumption is increasing rapidly. When it is considered that 31% of energy is consumed by housing in Turkey, we can see the importance of studies which will increase energy conservation in the buildings. For this purpose, in this study; different kinds of materials (EPS, XPS, Rockwool) that are used in Elazig usabilities and effects of insulation materials to the heat transfer is examined. 4 congenerus test room was made in Firat University, Elazig and they were equally cooled. One of the rooms was used without insulation material and the other three rooms were covered with insulation materials that are commonly used in Elazig. Internal environment, external environment, inner surface and outer surface measurements were taken from insulated and uninsulated test rooms and in insulated profiles measurements were taken between the wall and insulation. Also solari radiation, moisture amount and wind speed was measured and according to the results of these measurements ideal insulation material for Elazig is determined.
