Abstract (EN)

With the integration of digital technology in almost all areas of daily life and the fact that information is produced very quickly, "information" has gained much value.Ona hand Changing the way and speed of access to information provides an important advantage on the other hand threatens personal privacy.Almost every day, a lot of information about the person is collected by the institutions and organizations and shared via internet.In order to prevent uncontrolled sharing of personal data, which is defined as all kinds of information for identifying the person and which is among the most important legal issues of today, the need to establish a balance between the usage areas of the data and the private life of the individual has come to the agenda.This situation should also be addressed within the workplace borders.The fact that the worker who constitutes the weak and the need to be protected does not have sufficient information about the security of his/her personal data further highlights the importance of the personal data law in the business relationship.The aim of this study is to protect the personal data in order to ensure the safety of the worker and therefore the society.In this context, the opinions of three different municipal employees in Malatya regarding personal data, data security and protection were evaluated according to the frequency distribution as a result of our survey.
