Abstract (EN)

The subject of my dissertation is the art of storytelling of E.Babel, who is not only known with his narrating skills but also with his writing skills in journals, scenario and dramas. Babel is distinguished from his contemporaries with his different style of writing among 20th century Russian literature. Once he was creating his literature at diversified areas he has not worried whether the style is didactic or not. If his literature is analysed, it clearly appears that persons and events were handled with spiritual and human aspects more than their philosophy. He has achieved to create literary output converting psychological views of each event and each man he has seen, heard or sensed with his good ability of observation.Author who has a versatile collection of tales: mostly works on life of jewishes in society, individual?s roudtrip between death and life, Russian revolution and civil war, human being tragedies and adventures of gangsters. Beyong these, another striking side of the tales is honoring woman and anger to religion. Babel?s pain, sadness, loneliness and desperation can clearly be seen at all stories of him. On the contrary to his diversified theme at his literature the only unchangible property of the artist is having pure and comprehensible language. This is why he has reached to a very wide crew in his land and has been translated to western languages although many obstructions.Key Words:1. Woman2. Jew3. Person4. Revolution5. Holdup man
