Abstract (EN)

Unemployment and the fight against unemployment are at the forefront of the problems faced by economies today. Active employment policies have an important place in the fight against unemployment, which has serious effects and consequences both individually and socially. With the on-the-job training programs implemented by the Turkish Employment Agency and included in active labor policies, it is aimed to prevent unemployment, and increase employment and sustainability on a national scale. These programs provide opportunities for individuals and employ institutions for a certain period of time, by encouraging them and increasing their knowledge and skills on the job. In this thesis, on-the-job training program legislation and practices, which are among the activities carried out by the Turkish Employment Agency within the scope of active employment policies, and the data of the on-the-job training programs implemented in Eskişehir between 2010-2020 and the contribution of the program to employment at the provincial scale were evaluated.
