Abstract (EN)

In this study, the hydrogeochemistry and usage characteristics of 1 thermal water, 1 mineral water and 5 cold water samples in İscehisar (Afyonkarahisar) were investigated. The schists forming the Paleozoic Afyon metamorphics form the basement rock of the thermal and mineral water samples, whereas Iscehisar marbles are the reservoir rock and the impermeable levels of the Neogene units form the cover rock. The ground waters they are heated at depth by geothermic gradient and then ascend to the surface as thermal waters and/or by taking a longer distance and by losing its temperature they ascend as mineral water. According to the results; the thermal water have Na-Ca-HCO3, the mineral water have Na-HCO3 and the cold water samples have Ca-Mg-HCO3 and Ca-Na-HCO3 type. The silica geothermometres gave reservoir temperature 69-119°C. All the elements except As in the mineral water and cold water samples are compatible with the TS 266 (2005).
