Abstract (EN)

Proletariat came together to obtain their rights as a result of unfavourable working conditions and not receiving wages for their labor, and established the labour unions. Although these organizations were tried to be blocked, these attempts were not successful and labour unions developed over time. However, the differentiation in labour relations and especially economic, social and political changes which is done under globalization term after 1980, have affected them in a bad way as a result these organizations have started to lose their power. In this study, we interviewed the provincial/regional managers of Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions, Confederation of Hak Labour Unions and Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions in Sivas, Kayseri and Tokat provinces, which were determined by using the "easy sampling method" in order to reveal the organizational problems of the labor unions. As a method, "semi-structured interview" method was used. As a result of this study, the problems of organizing labour unions; transformations in the structure of labour force and sectoral distribution of employment, non-standard and informal employment, unemployment, economic instability and crisis, privatization applications, anti-union activities of employers, problems arising from labor unions, problems caused by workers, politician applications.
