Abstract (EN)

Employee silence which is a quite new issue in the literature has been intensively attracted the attention of researchers in the recent years. Because, in comprehension of modern management employees' ideas, suggestions and thoughts are important for organizations to be successful, survive, compete, make a difference and create a common value. This can be much more critical particularly for the hospitality organizations within the tourism sector which is a labor intensive industry. Altough in the litearture there is too much interest for the employee silence, so many aspects of the issue are available to be investigated. The researchers especially underline the impact of silence on individuals and indicate that silence would increase the stress levels and adversely affect the mental health of employees. In this concept the purpose of this study is determined as to identify, analyze and evaluate the relatinship between employee silence and stress and psychological well-being. In this framework; firstly the studies in the liteature about employee silence, stress and psychological well-beinghave been examined and information about these issues have been discussed. The subject has been examined and evaluated on employees who work in the five star hospitality organizations in Alanya. In this study it has been found that there are positive relationships between employee silence and depression, anxiety and stress.
