Abstract (EN)

It is important for human, who are the most important resource of organizations, to have some characteristics related to their work and inner world in order to fulfill this resource and perform well. At the beginning of these characteristics are the meaning of work, happiness at work and psychological resilience. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine the role of happiness at work and resilience in the effect of the meaning of work on job performance. The data of the study, which was carried out in the period coinciding with the Covid-19 global epidemic, were collected from medical doctors working in the public sector in Tokat (N=70 for pilot application, N=282 for main study). According to the analysis, the meaning of the work has a positive effect on happiness at work, contextual performance, task performance and overall performance. Psychological resilience has a positive effect on happiness at work, contextual performance and overall performance. Happiness at work does not affect performance and does not affect as an mediating. The results clearly reveal the importance of the meaning of work and psychological resilience for doctors who are going through the most difficult periods of their professional life. Based on these results, it can be said that resilience and meaningful work are extremely important resources for organizations and employees, and this importance continues to exist in times of crisis and becomes even more valuable.
