Özet (EN)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate by comparing social ability level of hearing impaired student participating and nonparticipating in school sports events.Population of the study was consituted by the student who are being educated in public school during 2011-2012 education year, sample of study composed 101 students from Ordu and Eynesil distict of Giresun.In this study, a descriptive information from that include 15 questions and Matson Social Ability Evaluation Scale in Children with 47 questions that measure 23 positive social behaviour and 24 negative social behaviour.Independent t-test was applied in dual comparisons. ANOVA was used in multiple comparisons. Statistical anlysis was done by SPSS 19.0 packed program.According to the results of the study, there were significant differences among the participating students and nonpatricipating students to school sports event in terms of sex and educational status.Key Words: Physical Education, Sports, Hearing Impaired, Social Behaviour.
