Abstract (EN)
Problems in executive functions that enable us to regulate our goal-oriented behaviors cause failure in social and academic life. Considering that executive functions and language skills are related processes, and children with hearing loss have problems in both executive functions and language skills, there is a need for tools that will provide declarative assessment of both skills. Therefore, in the first part of the study, it was aimed to develop a valid and reliable scale that evaluates the executive functions of children aged 3,0-11,11 and to adapt the language assessment tool "The Pragmatics Profile for People who use AAC" into Turkish. In the second part of the study, it was aimed to examine the executive functions and language skills of children with hearing and hearing loss by using developed and adapted tools. As a result, it has been revealed that the EFS Parent and EFS-Teacher, which were developed during the research process, are valid, reliable and highly distinctive measurement tools consisting of 6 dimensional structures. Evidence for linguistic and structural equivalence of the Pragmatic Profile, which was adapted, was provided by the qualifications and experiences of the experts involved in the process. In addition, it has been revealed that pragmatic language skills and executive functions are related processes, and that there is a difference in the executive functions of hearing and hearing loss children in favor of hearing children.
