Predictive value for the diagnosis of acute myocardic infectus in average platelet volume in obes and non-obese patients with ischemic heart disease

Objective: Plateletsplay an important role in the pathogenesis ofstroke, ishemicheartdisease, heartfailure. It is wellestablishedthatmeanplateletvolume (MPV) levelsrise in ishemicheartdisease. In our study, we aimed to determine the predictive value of mean platelet volume in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction in obese and non- obese who have ischemic heart disease. MaterialandMethods: Themeanage of 59,73± 14,24 who had myocardialinfarction of 170, whodidnthavemyocardialinfarction of 170 totaly 340 peoplewastakenintothestudy. It has beenseenthat 104 cases (30,5%) arewomen, 273 (69,5%) are men. Patients' blooddrawndetermintionfor MPV, total cholesterol, LDL-HDL cholesterol, fastingbloodglucose, troponine, CK-MB levels. Risk factorsforischemicheartdiseasessuch as age, sexuality, smoking, diabetesmellitus, hypertension, body massindex, EKG findingsdescribed. The study analyzes were prepared using IBM SPSS 20 and Excel 2010 version. Results: It has beenseenthatthere is a statistically significant difference between normal distribution and the patients' weight, BMI, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, LDL, HDL cholesterol, glucose, troponin, CK-MB values and MPV parameters and also ECG findings. It is remarked that there is no positive correlation between MVP and vascular risk factors such as gender, age, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia. Sonuç: Wecouldntdeterminetherelationshipbetweenmeanplateletvolumeandthediagnosis of acutemyocardial infarctionin obese and non-obese patients who have is chemic heartdisease. However, we found that MPV value sarestatistically significant compared with the normal population.
