ABSTRACT EFFECTS of HEAT TREATED VERMICOMPOST and FARM MANURE APPLICAION with MINERAL FERTILIZER on NUTRIENT INTAKE, BIOMASS WEIGHT in TOMATO and SOME MICROBIAL ACTIVITIES in SOILS In this study, the effects of heat treated and untreated worm manure (SG1-SG2) and farm manure (WG) applications on nutrient uptake in tomatoes, plant biomass weights and some microbial activities and chemical properties in root zone soils were determined. In this research carried out under climate chamber conditions, 2 separate worm manure that went through 6-month (SG1) and 24-month (SG2) composting process (vermicast) was used. According to the results of the research, it was determined, the parameters negatively affected by the heat treatment are EC, root + root bias weight, P, K, Fe and Cu contents, respectively, while the parameters that provide increases with heat treatment applications are CO2, DHA, MBC, N, Zn and Mn. According to the general results of the study, besides some important differences caused by the heat treatment application, it was concluded that it would not be correct to apply it unless necessary. It has been determined that the effects of heat treatment application have different effects according to the type of organic materials, their decomposition levels and the application doses. Materials such as vermicompost and vermicast with higher levels of decomposition than farm manure and other organic materials have a faster potential to provide plant nutrients, while other regulatory and promoting functions in soils are less. This situation is accelerated by heat treatment applications and reduces the permanence of soil organic matter.
