Abstract (EN)
The problem of evil which has its origins in the ancient tradition has always been discussed by thinkers in every period and attempts have been made to solve the problem. In the face of evil that is taking place in the universe, thinkers have addressed the problem against or in favor of God's existence. While speaking of a pure good God is not possible for some thinkers in the face of evil, some mentioned that the existence of evil does not contradict God's justice and might. In this study, starting from ancient Greek philosophy's address of that which is evil, the phenomenon of evil, the point of view of Kalam, philosophy, and Sufism on the problem of evil, which are the three schools in the History of İslâmic Thought, is evaluated. İslâmic thinkers, who generally come across with an optimistic attitude, have tried to justify that evil does not contradict the existence of God, have provided many examples and evidence on the subject. By taking Ḏıyā Al-Dīn Al- Kamālī's God's Justice as a reference, who is one of the representatives of the Jadidist movement, which deals with the problem in the same manner, it was attempted to convey his views on the problem of evil. In God's Justice, where we see Kemālī approach to the problem of evil in an optimistic and constructive way, he touches upon that the phenomenon of evil does not contradict the wisdom and justice of God and tries to find solutions by giving examples from parables and verses from the Quran, by doing groundings about the subject. Keywords: Evil, God, Kemālī, Justice, Wisdom
