İzmirli İsmail Hakkı as an Islamic Lawyer

Is one of the intellectual of his time. He is well educated in many field of science and has many screntific accumulation. There have been many scientific works about him but it was determined that there was comprehensire work which brought out his Islamic Jurisprudency. In fact one of the scientific field he brought up himselt weu is Islamic Jurisprudence. He examined Islamic Jurisprudence in all aspectsand wrote lot of books articles anel he taught them at Darülfünun. Moreover he led teachig of comparatively Islamic Jurisprudence at Ottoman madrasa which was nearly forgotten and constitutedlslamic Juriprudence methodology. This work intend to bring out his identity about Islamic Jurisprudency. In my work I examined his childhaodhis family anel other conditions which contributedhis development. After mentioned his works anel life. I studied his works concerning Islamic Jurisprudency and I tried to bring out his scientificand ideological structure. Both methodology and Jurisdiction he derivedare examined. Some subjects concerning methodology and Jurisdictionand their evaluation are taken up. İzmirli' s works concerning Islamic Jurisprudence are examined and it is seen that he has a big domination in that field. He was interested in metodology because his many works and articles are concerning whit metodology. Yet he wrote something concerning whit Jurisdiction too. When he wrote his articles and other works concerning with Islamic Juriprudence he benefited from Koran, sünnet and other trustworty sources we should accpt that izmirli has got an important place among other jurisprudent in his time.
