Sharing of booty today accordi̇ng to islamic law

Wars have been inevitable throughout history. As a result of these wars, the victorious side took the movable or immovable property and captives from the defeated side as booty. The social structure based on the tribal system and the harsh conditions of the desert climate in the Arabs during the Age of Ignorance generally caused wars and raids to take booty, and it was seen that there was no moral rule or understanding of justice in these wars and raids. The chief of the tribe took the biggest share in the booty as a commander, and the rest of the booty was distributed randomly. Islam brought civilization to the war understanding of societies or states by setting certain rules both in war and post-war booty division. Allahu ta'ala declared the decrees regarding booty and its division in the verses, and the Prophet Muhammed applied these decrees. In this thesis, it is aimed to reach a conclusion about how the rules related to the booty division in the Qur'an were applied by the Prophet Muhammed, therefore, how the rules and regulations should be followed in the practice of booty today.
