Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to make comparisons between micro-credit and Qard Al-hasan, which have similar objectives but have significant differences in practice and demonstrating the advantages of Qard Al-hasan. Research consists of two parts with Introduction. In the introduction part, the purpose and scope of the research are discussed. In the first focused on chapter microfinance, micro finance models and micro-credit programs in the world and in Turkey. In the second part mentioned about the concept of Qard Al-hasan, Islamic micro finance, relationship between interest and credit and Qard, Qard Al-hasan in the fight against poverty, differences micro credit and Qard Al-hasan and Qard Al-hasan applications in Turkey in context of Qard Al-hasan dependence instead of microcredit. Traditional and modern economic systems have not produced a permanent solution to prevent social destruction caused by unfair income distribution. Alternatively, women, entrepreneurs and people with professional skills who do not have sufficient resources often provide microcredit (small credit) with interest from financial intermediary for their professionel project. However, the reasons such as paying interest of 20% as a service fee in microcredit, not being able to go beyond the local area, encouraging child labor, pushing the users into the economic downturn are far from being a solution to the poor and disadvantaged. Islam has ordered the social support of the rich by asking the poor or people who in need of financial support on the basis of social obligation only. Qard Al-hasan seems to be the most appropriate option that eliminates the negative reflections of micro-credit, reduces the financial exclusion experienced by the poor by spreading the funding to the public, and provides social justice and mutual cooperation.
