Abstract (EN)

Assisted reproductive techniques provide individuals with methods to overcome the problems that occur when their desire to have a child cannot be met. Although these methods, which contribute to the happiness of families by aiming to ensure the continuation of family and generation, have gained wide acceptance among societies with the advancement of biotechnology, they have raised some problems in terms of Islamic law. This study aims to fill the gaps in the literature and the deficiencies in this field by addressing the place of Assisted Reproductive Techniques in Islamic Law. The study, which examines Assisted Reproductive Techniques from the perspective of Islamic Law, has carried out a religious and legal analysis by using literature and subject review methods. The limitations of the study include current medical science, legal developments and religious fatwas on the subject, and these limitations may affect the general validity of the results. The thesis, entitled Assisted Reproductive Techniques in Islamic Law, consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the first chapter, topics such as the types of Assisted Reproductive Techniques and the reasons for their preference, artificial fertilization and its types are explained, and in the second chapter, an overview of Assisted Reproductive Techniques in terms of Islamic Law is presented. This study aims to fill an important gap in this field by analyzing some of the major fatwas and opinions on Assisted Reproductive Techniques.
