Stock market analysis from the perspective of Islamic economics

This research covers the topics of Islamic economics, stock markets and Islamic indexes. In the special sense, the aim of the study is; Examining existing stock markets in theory and practice in terms of Islamic economics. In addition to the theoretical study for this purpose, it was requested to see the views of the participants by using the survey method. According to the results obtained from the research, it can be said that stock markets do not contradict with Islamic Economics principles. However, at the point of application, which is expressed as the working part of the stock markets, there are situations that are not in accordance with the principles of Islamic economics. Majority of these situations; such as short selling, incomes from forbidden areas, privileged partnerships, interest transactions, speculation. Furthermore, according to the results of the survey, it can be stated that the participants' level of knowledge about Islamic economics and stock markets is insufficient.
