دور البنك الإسلامي للتنمية في تمويل المشاريع التنموية: دراسة حالة بوركينا فاسو

The Islamic Development Bank plays an active role in financing development projects in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. These financings have met the needs of member countries, as they rely on interest-free Islamic financing principles. This research aims to study the role of the Islamic Development Bank in financing development projects in Burkina Faso. It also seeks to review the main funded projects, the methods used in financing them, and to highlight their impact on enhancing development in Burkina Faso. The study followed a descriptive approach to examine existing literature on the subject, as well as an analytical approach to assess the efficiency of the Islamic Development Bank's financing in achieving economic and social development in Burkina Faso. The study concluded that the Islamic Development Bank plays an effective role in promoting economic and social development in Burkina Faso, having financed more than 217 projects worth $4.6 billion across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, and others. The study recommended increasing allocations to strategic sectors in Burkina Faso, with a particular focus on the agricultural sector, given its priority status due to its role in supporting the economy and improving people's lives.
