Jabriyya in terms of the sources of history of İslamic sects

The aim of this study named "Jabriyya in terms of the sources of History of Islamic Sects" is to investigate the Jabriyya movements which are in the area of interest of this dissertation with scientific methods and produce scientific information about it. With this purpose all the information, document and findings that have reached today have been searched and where, in which period of time, how the name Jabriyya originated, in which events it is connected with and how the views and thoughts that have come forward during the period have contributions on the Islamic thought have been examined. In addition, the meaning of the concept of Jabriyya, the reasons for the emergence of jabri thought among Muslims, the events related to the Jabriyya, jabri approaches of the Islamic Sects and how the position of Jabriyya is handled in historical works in History of Islamic Sects was investigated. This study, in which we introduced the idea of Jabr and the groups so-called Jabriyya, is an original study since it is handled in terms of the sources of History of Islamic Sects. There are several scientific methods that are followed in the History of Islamic Sects. The scientific methods used in this work are data collection, classification and studying on the data. First, data on Jabri thought and Jabriyya were collected from different sources. Afterward, these data were classified according to the subject titles and the data were studied.
