Islamic historiography and Tirmizi's sünen in this respect

Hadith is considered as history as it changed the course of the history, directed it and told by the last prophet Hz. Muhammed. Prophet is the person who shaped the history and regulated it in accordance to the rules and orders of God. Prophet's shaping of the historical process and the effects of his leadership on many fields attracted many local and foreign scientists. Therefore, many works are written about him. One of those works is Sünen-i Tirmizi, which is considered as one of the most important. He has transferred him to the next generations by telling about him truely. Tirmizi's Sünen, although it was a Hadith book, not a history book, was appreciated and dealed by Islamic Historians. And Tirmizi is considered as a trusted person by those who were acknowledged as authority on Islamic History. We have tried to discuss Tirmizi's historian side as well as his traditionist side. The accuracy of Prophetic biography and tales of Tirmizi's Sünen will be discussed by comparing with historical data's. Tirmizi has followed a significant way while relating hadiths. These are; making a chronological order, imputation/text combination and using of tales which are to be submitted to mind/history.
